Sovereign Hill - 5 Stars, GOLDEN Reviews.

A Goldie on Our Trip Our second stop on our trip, Ballarat, was a short stop, but a very interesting one. We only stayed there for 2 nights, (or one whole day) but the main reason we went there was to go to Sovereign Hill. If you don't know, Sovereign Hill is a recreation of a town from the Gold Rush times! There was a huge town, including a gold panning river, Main St, and the mines. The mines were really interesting as we were able to go into an underground mine tour, and I learned that mining, as rich as you may become from it, is not a very nice job. You could die from the mine collapsing, water bursting through, fighting over gold like little children, inhaling a lot of dust, running out of air, and more! There was a lot of attractions, like the... wait for it... Lolly shop, post office, bank, coffin workshop, bowling alley, fire department, "Doctor,", Wheel factory, cafe, restaurant, butcher, schools, blacksmiths, theatre, *INHALE* Army, Horse carriages, and other...
