Ranges are High, Power is Low

*Annoyingly these photos have appeared at the top and refuse to go down, so when you're done 'admiring' them, just scroll down and you'll find the actual text. Flinder's Ranges and Turning Troubleshooting Pages. So far, Flinder's Ranges hasn't been the best. Sure, we've done some fun stuff, we've played some games, watched some things, but ALL of that was inside because so far it's been straight raining. Okay, maybe not STRAIGHT raining, but still quite a bit. One thing we did outside of the soggy sad splashy site was go to the almighty, WILPENA POUND!!! Alright, alright, we've only seen the outer rim of it at the time of writing, but we're planning on heading into it tomorrow. Also, for anyone who is following along, sorry for how late this blog was, the reception here pretends it's 4G but it's definitely not, BUT to make up for that, this Blog now has a new feature, (It may not be new anymore though, depending when you're re...

Mildura - Last Stop In Victoria!

*Annoyingly these photos have appeared at the top and refuse to go down, so when you're done 'admiring' them, just scroll down and you'll find the actual text.   Lots to do, long time to do 'em. "Geez, this country town has it all!" "That's because it's not a country town - it's classified a city," "Yeah yeah whatever," Mildura was, or I should probably say 'is', (because we're still here) very interesting, though so far the 'interesting' comes from what we're doing and not the place itself. It was Mum's birthday the day after we arrived, so when we went out for dinner the day before, Mum was pleasantly surprised to see her friends had travelled all the way here to see her on her birthday. While Mum was goofing off with her girlfriends, Dad and I went on a bike ride, but since Mum wasn't there, I 'borrowed' her E-Bike once more.  Z o o m - Z o o m ! ! ! I really want an E-Bike now. We...

Swan Hill & Lake Boga. (Or BOGER.)

Image
Swan Hill, the home of Lake Boga. Okay, this is officially then prettiest place so far . In the morning, look out the club lounge window and BAM! Lake Boger. Alright, alright, I know it's actually called Lake 'Boga', but Boger is so much better. Either the lake is massive, or I've just never seen a normal sized lake. So it's massive. We were going on a bike ride around the edges of the lake, but it was very uncomfortable because my bike is definitely too small, so I tried out my Mum's E-Bike for a bit. "I don't really feel much of a difference, I'm not going any faster," "Try pressing the arrow button," "I did, still nothing!" "The UP arrow silly," "Oh okay," *PRESSES THE BUTTON* zoom -=+=- zoom "My god this is fast!" We also went into New South Wales twice!  For about two minutes, we crossed the bridge and then crossed back.  On one night, we were all starving and couldn't be bothered coo...

Interior Tour

Image
Hi everyone! It's been a week since the new caravan arrived home, and Mum has already given the inside a massive makeover, and I'm glad she did because it transformed the van from a 'portable house' to a 'portable home'. But obviously, the van isn't just for looking nice, it gives you a comfy place to play cards on a rainy day; ensures you have a good night's sleep; and stores food, anywhere you take it.  I'm really happy with the indoors of the van as it has a cozy feeling lingering in the air, and I can imagine being in it for a year, which is good because that's what we're doing! One important thing about the design compare to our old caravan, is that things actually have a spot. Before when we packed up the van to get back on the road, the inside was filled with junk, if you wanted to pause the car trip and pull up on the side of the road, you couldn't - there would be bikes inside the van, the table on it's side, and a hundred th...

New Year, New Caravan, New Adventure

Image
Finally! After all the struggle, the caravan is complete! We've set it up, learned all about it, and now it's only ten days before we set off for the big lap. I love the van, it's really cozy and homely inside, yet tough'n'rough on the outside. I'm really excited to go around our country, but it blows my mind to actually think, "We're going to do this in just ten days!" We might have some trouble, or we might have lots of fun, we might get sick of each other, or we might love each others company; either way, this is the trip of a lifetime... and you'll be with us along the way!
