The Travel Express has arrived at it's last stop... home.

Image
Home. Hi, everyone! We have arrived back home, and our trip around (most of) Australia has come to an end. I had an absolute blast and I know my Mum, Dad, & BogDogJaz did too. In fact, Dad is very sad that we're not travelling anymore. But, it's been awesome being able to see people again, friends and family. I've returned to school, and I actually got the role as School Captain in 2023! It's also been great being back in our house again... it's been a while, eh? If you followed my blogs, or just checked out a few, I feel very happy that I was able to share my trip with you. I hope I made you laugh and have a good time, as I try to make my blogs enjoyable to read. It's nearing Christmas at the time of writing, and we've got the home decorated and ready. I'm not sure if anyone will even see this blog in time, but if you are reading this in the next 3 days, then Merry Christmas! Our trip may have come to an end, but why be sad that it ended when you ...

More contact has been made! [Friends' Place & Victor Harbour]

Image
And so, our time with Taylor and Shannon has ended... but the trip must go on! Yeesh, those titles are so dramatic. I will admit though, I am very sad that they're gone. It was good having some more people around. Anyway, after Hahndorf, where Taylor and Shannon drove away and left us, we headed to Charleston, which wasn't very far away, only about a 20 minute drive. Fun fact; one of our old friends lives here, so we stayed at their farm. Whew, their farm... Had more than a few vehicles. I estimate... 2 million utes, 5 thousand buggies, 3 hundred tractors, and... I'm kidding. But still, there was a lot of  motor-mayhem happening here. Besides the odd amount of vehicles, we had a good time, excluding Mum, who had terrible hayfever. Next stop, Victor Harbour! Since Coffin Bay, this is the first location where it was just us again. We stayed here for 3 days, and while Mum and Dad were chillin', I was working on a School Captain speech for when I get back to school, as I...

I bet we'll still have this fudge by Christmas! [Whyalla & Hahndorf]

Image
Jetty. Fudge. Whyalla... wasn't much, to us anyway. We stayed for just one night, and our site was near the beach. There was a very cool jetty here, and was a shape kinda like this; ***************                                                                               *          *                  *           *                                      ... *************** ... it was two circles. ANYWAY we played Up & Down the River again, and then we left, we really didn't do much. At Hahndorf, however, Mum went on a shopping spree. Tay & Shannon were still with us, so we all explo...

Contact Has Been Made! [Coffin Bay]

Image
Ahhh! I’m so excited! For so long, the four only had each other, no other friends to chat to in person, no other family to hug, until… Ello. I liked Coffin Bay. Not because of the actual place, though it was nice, but because of what we did there. One of my brothers, Taylor, and his girlfriend, Shannon, met us here! At the time of writing, they’re actually still with us. It’s been really good to finally see people who we know in person. I’ve been loving this trip, but the last few weeks I have been a little… peoplesick? Is that a word? I don’t know. Probably not. While we were here, the five of us did an oyster tour, where we put on these waders and walked in the bay over to a pontoon. Once we were there, we learned about, shucked, and ate oysters. Though I may have not done the last one. Maybe some day.  We’ve been playing Up & Down The River every night, which has been really fun, and I’ve also put on this really nice jumper which for some reason I haven’t worn at all,...

Streaks on the Bay! [Streaky Bay]

Image
Bay of the streaks Hm. Streaky Bay. I don’t know what to think of this one. We didn’t do that much, but the things we DID do were pretty cool, or should I say cute? SEA. LIONS. ARE. VERY. ADORABLE. We watched them chilling on the beach from high up on a hill, and they are so cute. They’re all just lying around on the rocks, on their tummy, on their back, on their side. Either way, so cute.  They’d be hit by waves on the beach, but couldn’t be bothered to move, so they would stay there. Until finally, after being hit by lots of waves, he decided to get up and move… 5 steps, then flopped back down. They’re so lazy in the cutest way possible! Also, it may not have seemed there was that many of them, but if you really look, we found 63 of them all relaxing on the beach. What’s a shame is that they are very picky animals, so they’re endangered not because of humans, but just because of their own bad habits! But I’m not gonna talk about that, so if you’re interested then look it u...

Let’s Roll! [The Nullarbor]

Image
Do you like golf? The Nullarbor. It was hyped up by a lot of people, but it wasn’t THAT great, if you ask me. It was cool driving over this massive road of… nothing. But it wasn’t as long and grand as I thought. The first night, we stayed at CockleBiddy Roadhouse, where we first discovered something funny. Just for funzies, every single roadhouse on the Nullarbor has a golf hole! Making the worlds longest 18 hole golf course, which stretches over 1,365 kilometres! We, er, didn’t play. The second night we were staying at Bunda Cliffs, some cliffs. Some crazy people were camping right on the edge  of the cliffs, but I’m allergic to falling onto hard rocks being thrashed by deadly waves from a four story building high cliff, unfortunately. So we parked a little further away. It was quite nice, we just sat down, had some sausages, watched a fire, patted BogDog. All was good. I’m case you were wondering, yes, there is a fruit quarantine station, but thankfully, they let you actua...

Oof. This is awesome. [Esperance]

Image
RAC really outdid themselves this time. Okay, so I know the last two blogs have been a bit, er, short and boring, but to tell the truth, I really didn't have much to say for those locations! Esperance, however, is a different story. We stayed at an RAC park, which always have a reputation for being really nice. This park did NOT ignore that reputation. The camp kitchens were so lovely, we actually used  them! Can you believe that? Us - use the camp kitchen! Incredible! Oh, and the pool is warm for once. I'm actually writing this in the camp kitchen. Esperance has some fantastic beaches, on our first day, which should really be a travelling day but we came a day early, we drove around a loop which showed off all the beachs. Blue Haven, Salmon Beach, Twilight Beach, this beach, that beach, oh mah gawd there's a lot. All of them, however, were magnificent! Rocks, cliffs, SAND, they have it all! We had Subway for once in long time here, and I had forgotten HOW GOOD those Subw...

Wrong Weather, Wrong Time, [Bremer Bay]

Image
Eh, could've been better. We arrived at Bremer Bay at the wrong time. By that, I mean wrong weather. The beach was amazing looking, but it wasn't exactly nice beach weather. It was a bit cold, and not incredibly sunny. We took a bike ride to a brewery one day, but to be honest, that's really all we did here. We went on a few walks to the beach, and there was this one hill that Jazzy loved jumping down. She kept running back up it just so she could jump off of it again. Cute. I though this place was just a bit of a filler, and I wouldn't go again I think. Down below are some photos of our stay, so take a peek. - Dog and Boy - - Water we going to do?!?! - CRIIIIIINGE - [ Insert wow sound here. ] - - Isn't she wonderful? -

Margaret River & Denmark. (Marge Simpson Likes "Carrets" and is in the Market for Dens.)

Image
Wow. You clicked on this?! With THAT title? Margaret River. Margaret River was all about wineries. I'm all good with platters and stuff, but wine... nuh nuh nuh. What I'm saying is, I usually find them just a pinch boring. So, instead of talking about Margaret River's pride, I'm just gonna talk about the other stuff that I found interesting. 'Cause it's my blog, I do what I want! If you wanted to hear about the wineries then read something else. ANYWAY, we were staying at a family owned ranch here, with sheepo, guinea pigo, and chickeno. I liked the guinea pigs. The noises they make are very cute. There's this one spot at the ranch that is just guinea pig CITY. They're under trees, sitting with chickens, under tables, on the ground, EVERYWHERE. 250 of them. Dad and I also went for a run/walk mixture late in the afternoon. We had to cross a river. Now obviously we both got our nice shoes wet and one of us  wasn't piggyback-ed to the other side. H...
