The FERRIS Wheel We WERE In FELL OVER! (NoT ClIcKbAiT!!! 😮😨🤯) [Cairns]

 

Okay... maybe it was clickbait.

Cairns was great. Not as great as my hairdresser made it out to be, but still, great. Then again, we didn't do the things she told us to do.

We weren't staying in the city of Cairns, but we were close. We did a lot of bike riding, going to water's edge-ing, and trying the Mcdonalds custard raspberry pie thingo.

ANYBOG, the park we staying at was right next to a nice creek, we walked and rode down there a lot, so that was cool.

What was cooler though was the things we did in Cairns City. On one day we went out to lunch a seafood place on the water's edge. On another day, we took a walk along the boardwalk. There's this place called the Lagoon, which is a massive public pool with sand for a floor. Basically, it's an artificial mini ocean where the crocs don't shine. It had a really good atmosphere on the weekend when everyone was there, but was a little more dead during the week. There was a Ferris wheel nearby, so jumped on that for the first time in foreveeeeeeeeeer - Frozen reference slightly intended. Unfortunately, where the ocean should be next to the Lagoon, the tide went out to work, so there was just a chunky mud slab. Bog.

Mum was getting her nails done at one point, so while she was doing that, Dad and I went to Macca's for some reason. We got the new custard and raspberry pie, and...

THE PICTURE ON THE MENU SHOWS TWO PIES BUT THEY ONLY GIVE YOU ONE. ARGH! IT WAS AN... 8 OUT OF 10. 

... yeah. Also, you know those things you occasionally find in a playground that look and work like a mouse wheel?

- You know, these things? -

Well, I found one of them, and I forgot how SCARY they are. You step right in and feels like gravity changed. Dad went in one and fell over after 0.000000000000001 milliseconds.

Enough of that though, because we also visited Cascade Falls, a small walk along a river and beeg waterfalls. The walk was shorter than I thought it would be, and I'd say it was a 6/10 on the Insta-Worthiness-Scale. Still cool, but also a teeenie bit meh.
