Time to Tropichill! Darwin!

 Time to Tropichill! At Darwin!


I wasn’t sure what to expect in Darwin, but for me it was a big win… a DarWIN. Hehe. Anyway, Darwin is currently the holder of the “We stayed here the longest,” award. We stayed here for 10 days, and for good reason. Here’s the things I liked best;


The Waterfront

The Waterfront. Awesome place. In my eyes, those two sentences are identical. This place is one of my favourite things so far, I’m SHORE of it! The Waterfront was an enclosed lagoon, safe from crocs and stingers, surrounded by cool cafés, bars, restaurants and shops. It’s like a hub for vacation stuff. Wave pool, check, inflatable obstacle course, check, lots of variety and choice of food, check.

The only thing missing is a seaside volleyball court. Oh never mind!.. they have that too. If you’ve read my blogs recently, you’ll know I love tropical business and this place MEANT BUSINESS.

Berry Springs

These springs were BERRY cool. I’m all out with these puns today!

Berry Springs consisted of three pools, the falls, the upper pool and the lower pool, and they were all filled with fish. Once I became used to them, this place was o-FISH-ally amazing!


“Bro, you gotta stop with these puns at some point!”

PUN-ished,”


There could be some freshwater crocs in there but “ApPaReNtLy” they’ll leave you alone and are only aggressive if you disturb them. I reckon if I step on one, that would be disturbing it, right!?!? During the wet season when the waters rise, then the salties can get in too. Wait, WHAAAT?! We were on high caution mode for some of the time.

Bicentennial Park

If you’re planning to be a politician, be one in Darwin. The government house and buildings are beautiful and right on the water! In a nearby park, there was a playground, it was pretty cool, but it had one of those rope climbing things that is way too high! I couldn’t believe it was legal and it became a bit scary near the top, because it looks a lot higher than it is up there. I was just ROPE-ing I’d make it up!

Territory Day

Territory Day was one of the first things we did, it was a massive celebration with countless food stalls and fireworks! Seriously, they had SO MANY fireworks! Just like the Waterfront, there was food of every theme. Sea food, meat, vegies, the only difference is that Territory Day is only, well... a day.

Alright, I think that’s it! Darwin was great fun and great chills and I hope we come back again sometime.

  Toasty. What would happen if you dropped an uncooked steak into a burning hot spring... would it cook? Maybe turn into a stir fry? What about scare everyone out of the hot spring because they thought that lil' Jimmy had an accident? Well, unfortunately we're not gonna find out. The caravan park we were staying at was home to a hot spring, which was then divided into six pools. Each pool is a different temperature, so you could spend an hour comparing them. The FERRIS Wheel We WERE In FELL OVER! (NoT ClIcKbAiT!!! 😮😨🤯) [Cairns]

  Okay... maybe it was clickbait. Scsitneits exlapin taht you're albe to raed sfutf lkie tihs, eevn tguohh the spilleng is ruibbsh. Why am I brigning tihs up? I dnnuo. Cairns was great. Not as great as my hairdresser made it out to be, but still, great. Then again, we didn't do the things she told us to do. We weren't staying in the city of Cairns, but we were close. We did a lot of bike riding, going to water's edge-ing, and trying the Mcdonalds custard raspberry pie thingo. ANYBOG, the park we staying at was right next to a nice creek, we walked and rode down there a lot, so that was cool. What was cooler though was the things we did in Cairns City. On one day we went out to lunch a seafood place on the water's edge. On another day, we took a walk along the boardwalk. Oof. This is awesome. [Esperance]

  RAC really outdid themselves this time. Okay, so I know the last two blogs have been a bit, er, short and boring, but to tell the truth, I really didn't have much to say for those locations! Esperance, however, is a different story. We stayed at an RAC park, which always have a reputation for being really nice. This park did NOT ignore that reputation. The camp kitchens were so lovely, we actually used  them! Can you believe that? Us - use the camp kitchen! Incredible! Oh, and the pool is warm for once. I'm actually writing this in the camp kitchen. Esperance has some fantastic beaches, on our first day, which should really be a travelling day but we came a day early, we drove around a loop which showed off all the beachs. Blue Haven, Salmon Beach, Twilight Beach, this beach, that beach, oh mah gawd there's a lot. All of them, however, were magnificent! Rocks, cliffs, SAND, they have it all! Rain... THE MOVIE!!! [Ellis Beach]

A certain someone will understand that title. You witness a master at work. A master at doing something incredible. Something most don't have the time to do. Something most do not have the dedication to perform. That something... is writing a useless intro about masters at work. Anyway, let's talk about Ellis Beach. It is great. The caravan park is on the beach, literally. You can walk off a site and you'll be on the sand. Our site was pretty damn good, and we could always hear the waves. But, it's all very fun and games until you realise it was raining the WHOLE TIME.  It's such a nice spot, but the weather just decided to take a massive bog on it. Bruh. On the first day, we went to the nearby Palm Cove for a walk with Jazzy. Palm Cove is noice. Very noice. It wasn't raining there, because why not, WEATHERMAN?  So we hung out for a little while. HERE WE GO AGAIN.

  Here we go again.... Hullo peoples. Cooper here, the King of Bogs. I know, I know, big deal Fun fact: we are going on another trip around Australia. Yes, you read that correctly. We are GOIN' AGAIN! Last time we travelled through South Australia, Northern Territory, Western Australia, and back home. But THIS time, we're gonna be checking out what we missed last time, which is the East Coast! We're going to zoom up to the top of Queensland, than slowly making our way down the coast. The show has begun! [Darlington Point]

  And so it begins... Hoi guys. I'm writing this in the car to Bourke, and we are VIBRATING. Google decided to take us on a dirt track because of some closed road and let me tell you, the wheels on the car are going round and round, round and round. Too much. Anybog, now that the road has smoothened out, let me get back to the story. Now where was I... right. I hadn't started yet. The first location on our trip was Darlington Point. We stayed there for 2 nights, and it was mostly just getting back into the swing of van life. On the full day, we took a stroll next to the Murrumbidgee River. Then we drove to Griffith, a nearby Italian town. There was a lot of Italian cafes but a lot of them weren't very appealing, so we found a snug lil' place called Limone. "Eh eh eh. A prophecy scribed into the fabric of the universe. [Hughenden]

  THE PROPHECY OF THE PYRAMID HAS COME. O nce upon a time, the pyramid of rock etched a prophecy into it's very stone, to serve the people of the world a warning of what would birth into it's future. The prophecy read that a  powerful text would be born, one blessed with the ability to change to it's master's will. When one would read such a thing, they would begin to lose brain cells by the minute. That is why the pyramid warned humanity so they could prepare for this monstrosity.     So. That text MAY or may not be this blog. ಥ_ಥ Sorry about that. ANYWAY Hughenden was pretty cool. It was our first taste of warm weather, and I would like to order more. We stayed there for 2 nights, a.k.a. 1 full day, and on that day Dad & I went ExPlOrInG. We checked out the Porkypine Gorge. Captain Cook SUCKS. MIC DROP. [Cooktown]

  Australian history is very #Bog 🎶We are at Cooktown, The very best place, For going to a museum, And looking at Cap'n's Cook's FACE. I did a song before in a blog, And it was much better, If you want to see that-a one, Click on this letter -->  A.  🎶 We stayed at Cooktown for a WHILE. As in, 6 whole days. That kind of while. Turns out, it was a pretty good amount of time. So, it's time to go full Blogger God Mode. We woke up on day one and went to the market in the morning for breakfast, but just like the movie "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, Part Two: The De-anisaurs Attack" , it wasn't particularly amazing. We had also visited the lookout at the top of a mountain because why not. We went to the Botanical Gardens because I wanted to LEAF the van for a little while. ಥ_ಥ It seemed to have a very big theme on the colour red. Let’s Roll! [The Nullarbor]

  Do you like golf? The Nullarbor. It was hyped up by a lot of people, but it wasn’t THAT great, if you ask me. It was cool driving over this massive road of… nothing. But it wasn’t as long and grand as I thought. The first night, we stayed at CockleBiddy Roadhouse, where we first discovered something funny. Just for funzies, every single roadhouse on the Nullarbor has a golf hole! Making the worlds longest 18 hole golf course, which stretches over 1,365 kilometres! We, er, didn’t play. The second night we were staying at Bunda Cliffs, some cliffs. Some crazy people were camping right on the edge  of the cliffs, but I’m allergic to falling onto hard rocks being thrashed by deadly waves from a four story building high cliff, unfortunately. So we parked a little further away. It was quite nice, we just sat down, had some sausages, watched a fire, patted BogDog. All was good.
