Barn Hill Station!
Barn Hill STATION. Oh yeaeaeaaaaah!
Barn Hill Station was awesome. Why? Because things were happening every day, which made it feel really alive.
Markets on Sunday! Social Bowls on Tuesday and Thursday!
Pizza Making Class on Monday. LRC Dice Game On Friday And Tuesday.
BYO BBQ on Wednesday! Power Rangers in Cooper's Mind. Live Music on Saturday!
It was only a 100 metre walk to the beach, so we spent a lot of time there. The Station provided food, entertainment, and, obviously, a place to stay.
On Sunday, people were allowed to set up stalls near reception and sell some product. Mum likes to make keychains and lanyards out of beads, creating the beautiful... LJ's Lanyards! She made a killing! Turns out a lot of people like those kinds of things.
When the tide goes down, the once 'just sand' beach becomes rock paradise, seriously, you wouldn't know there's a million rock under the waters. Speaking of the beach, we took multiple walks down it, and that's when Mum began collecting shells and rocks. She has like a hundred of them, and she doesn't do anything with them, (as of today, anyway,) but she loves to collect them. Alright then. Good for you, Mum.
On one walk we found, uh... something. It looked like a big slug, a snake, and a slimy cucumber all at once. Dad & Mum were interested, but CERTAINLY not me. DIS-COUS-DANG! I'm not touching that thing.
Barn Hill Station was fantastic, though. It may be a little isolated, and we may have had to drive all the way back to Broome just to do some shopping, but I loved it.
As always, down below are some photos, so put your peeker goggles on take it all in.
