Overgrown Humans. Love 'em. [Mossman & PD]
Moss to the man to the...
And I was like hey. And you were like woah. And I was like yes, I just broke the fourth wall. And you were like this isn't a tv show, just a blog. there is no "fourth wall". So then I was like fine.
... alright. Now that's out of he way, let's talk about Mossman. Moss' was a cute lil' place we stayed at for 3 days. While we were there, we visited Mossman Gorge. It was quite a pretty gorge, but was more of a river to be honest. It was also had a HEAP of infrastructure. Tour busses, concrete pathways, all that jazz. It did start raining on our way back, but that just made it the "Try not to get wet while making your way back through a forest for 3 kilometres." game. It's a very fun game. You should try it.
What I liked more than the gorge in Mossman, though, wasn't actually in Mossman. Rather, it was near Mossman. I'm talking about Port Douglas. We visited a few times, because it was only a 20 minute drive or something.
And oh boy, Port Douglas is chef's kiss. I don't know why I liked it so much, but I just did, okay? It was warm, bustling with people, shops all round. Mum and I went to a really nice place called Cafe Fresq for breakfast. We went out for dinner at some Italian place, as well. The Marina had some stunning bars. I WANT TO GO TO ALL OF THEM. Unfortunately, if I did go to all of them, then I wouldn't have any time to feed the Demon Bush Turkey who lives in the cupboard, and he is NOT happy when I don't feed him...
Anyway, Port Douglas was very cool, but sadly the blog is about boring ol' Mossman, so back to that. On our third and final day at Mossman, the power went out for a bit. While the power was out, we had to get dinner from the only place that was still open. Some Chinese Take Away joint. They were the only place in town that had a back-up generator, so whilst all the other restaurants were freakin' out, they were making CASH. Basically everyone was lining up at this stupid Chinese place because there was nothing else, and right after we were given our meal after waiting ages, all the street lights lit up and the power was back. Talk about luck.
Anyway, that's pretty much it for Mossman. P.S. if you go to Port Douglas, head to Wicked Ice Cream, every "one scoop" is 2 massive scoops, so I would recommend. Down below are some pic's that are hanging out, so take a peek, take a lil' peek peek, take a lil' peek.
